BIOGRAPHY
An award winning actor and writer,
Anna is fortunate to have worked with some of the most talented
people in the business. Directors and Actors such as: Phillip
Noyce, John Irvin, Francis Megahy, Peter Sands, Jack Thompson,
Frances Bay, James Quattrochi, Neil Dickson, to name just a few.
Anna started her career in her first year of University while
studying for a BA degree in Theatre and Art History in Australia.
At that time she starred on Television and Film; along with over
two dozen commercials.
A few years later in London Anna worked with Gerald Chapman at
The Young People's Theatre Program at the Royal Court Theatre,
which led her to play leading roles in many prestigious theatre
productions throughout Britain. Such as: The Norman Conquests,
California Suite, There’s a Girl in my Soup, Strindberg’s
Easter. She played roles on Television for BBC and Hammer
House of Horror for ITV. Anna studied Shakespeare and Voice
at the professional classes at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art
and also at the Actors’ Centre.
Anna went to New York to study script Interpretation with Stella
Adler and scene study with Robert Lewis and Warren Robertson.
Anna was a working observer at The Actors' Studio for five years
and was greatly influenced by the moderators, Shelley Winters
and Martin Landau. She played leading roles in many Off-Broadway
shows, such as: The Crucible, The Lover, Taster’s Choice to
name a few. She has played guest starring and recurring
roles on Television shows such as Another World; As The World
Turns; Days Of Our Lives and Martial Law. Her American
film credits include: Mortal Hazard; The Big Empty;
the self-penned Coming Into Money and The Red Scarf. Most
recently Anna starred in the feature film “The Trouble with
Ross” directed by veteran British director, Francis Megahy.
It is soon to be released.
In 1998, Anna joined
Peter Sands to become partners in VisionFire Films, Inc. She
produced, wrote, and starred in the film Coming Into Money.
This film has been screened at over 14 film festivals
worldwide and has won four awards on the international and domestic
film festival circuit.
In 2005 Anna’s short film "The Red Scarf” was shot
in Los Angeles. Anna starred opposite veteran actress Frances
Bay. This film has just been invited to compete for best International
short at Seagate Foyle Film, festival in Northern Ireland.
Her latest full length play, "Venus Rules” recently
had a staged reading in Los Angeles and will be having another
reading in New York in 2006. |
